On 8 November 2019, over 30 guests and IT delegates from different industries come to Virtunet’s Huawei Discovery Event 2019 to experience the latest enterprise solutions brought to us by Huawei and Kaspersky Lab.
Our attendees arrived Huawei’s Australia HQ in Chatswood, Sydney at 3:00pm and were greeted by the Virtunet and Huawei representatives at the Huawei’s Customer Solution Integration and Innovation Experience Centre (CSIC). Five Discovery Stations were setup for showcasing the latest technologies from Huawei and Kaspersky Lab, they are:
- Introduction to Huawei
- Huawei WiFi 6
- Huawei Server and Storage
- Huawei Customer Success
- Kaspersky Lab Internet Security
Before we finished the showcase session, we held a “UFO Challenge” for the guests who has completed the Discovery mission to “grab” the latest Huawei gadgets and Virtunet prizes flying around in the room!
By 5:00pm we moved downstairs to the lobby to welcome our very special guest – the Lucky Lion, which performed a spectacular Lion Dance for us. Lion Dance is a form of traditional dance in Chinese culture and other Asian countries in which performers mimic a lion’s movements in a lion costume to bring good luck and fortune. Colin Hu, Managing Director at Huawei EBG, represented the executive team to give the Lion a green lettuce for plucking together with a “red envelope”, which implied the meaning of bringing good luck and fortune to the business.
We followed the “road of fortune” blazed by the Lion in front of Chatswood Interchange andarrived the famous “fairy tale restaurant” – 456 The Avenue. Our guests were served by delicious canapes and tailor-made cocktails while networking and mingling with our representatives and fellow IT professionals til late.
Thank you to everyone who attended Virtunet’s Huawei Discovery Event 2019 and especially our sponsors – Huawei and Kaspersky Lab for bringing in this wonderful experience to our guests. We hope that everyone enjoyed it as much as we were hosting it in #MakingITawesome!
